The Hoodown Workshop Facility at Kingswear is in the final stages of completion. Work is expected to finish by Friday 3rd February.
Several steel piles are due for replacement on the DA and DB pontoon facility. All berth holders have been contacted and works have now started. Several additional steel piles need attention and works have been temporarily stopped due to further materials being needed.
Dart Harbour apologises for any inconvenience caused to berth holders and please contact the Harbour Office for more information.
Maritime Events & Rallies
Dart Harbour is keen to support all events and plays host to a large variety, in different areas of the harbour.
A full programme of registered events for 2012 will be available shortly.
Any organisations, clubs or associations wishing to organise an event on the River Dart (within Dart Harbour Limits) are legally obliged to gain permission from Dart Harbour who are primarily responsible for safety on the river. Registration forms are available from the Harbour Office.
Organisers of visiting rallies may pre-book visitors berthing if there are more than 10 vessels. But please be aware that during July and August there may be a booking fee payable in advance.
For further information please contact the Deputy Harbour Master, Nick Clarance, at the Harbour Office or email: info@dartharbour.org
Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta
The 2012 Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta takes place from Thursday 30th August to Saturday 1st September.
Please note that all visitors' berths are allocated on a first come first served basis and no pre bookings are accepted. Vessels should call the River Patrol on VHF Channel 11 (Call Sign DARTNAV) on arrival to find out about berthing availability. Vessels will be rafted up. Please also note that if a vessel leaves a berth to go sailing for the day, there is no guarantee that they will be able to return to the same berth.
Whilst the river is normally very busy, we have not yet turned a vessel away during the Regatta.
