The harbour’s working channel is VHF Channel 11 – Call sign "DARTNAV"
The channel is monitored during the summer between 0730-2300hrs but during the winter you need to phone the Harbour Office on 01803 832337.

Brixham Coastguard co-ordinates maritime search and rescue.

In an Emergency Dial 999 and ask for Coastguard. If at sea call on VHF Channel 16 or depress the RED distress button on your DSC (Digital Selective Calling) controller.

Maritime Volunteer Service

The Maritime Volunteer Service’s trained volunteers are available to support Dart Harbour in times of emergency or major pollution occurrences. The local branch operates in the river Dart and surrounding sea area.


Oil Pollution incident reporting

If there is an oil pollution incident at sea or in the harbour then contact Brixham Coastguard as above.
For any harbour pollution incident, ring the Harbour Office.

In the river or the estuary
Don't turn a blind eye - if you see (or accidentally cause) a pollution incident report it straight away. The same applies even if you only suspect pollution e.g. dead fish, excessive foaming or water discolouration.
