Customer Relations Policy
Dart Harbour is charged with maintaining and improving the asset of the River Dart. The harbour and river provides employment and enjoyment for many local residents and visitors to the area.
Dart Harbour has certain statutory duties which take priority, but in addition the Authority should make every effort to satisfy a wide range of stakeholders all of whom have opinions as to how the river should be utilised.
In recent years emphasis on river use has changed from commercial to leisure activities with correspondingly higher numbers of individual customers.
As part of the leisure industry and with higher customer expectations it is considered that a Customer Relations Policy should be prepared and adopted on a voluntary basis by the Authority. This code should form part of Dart Harbour’s communications guidelines, subject to review and be available to customers and stakeholders.
