Mayan Queen IV

The Mayan Queen IV visited Dartmouth in May 2009.

and in the past ....

Eos - The largest private sailing yacht in the world spent 10 days in November 2006 in Dartmouth.

The largest private sailing yacht in the world came to Dartmouth after being built in Bremen, Germany and before delivery to her owner in the Bahamas.

If you have spent millions on building or buying the incredibly luxurious yacht of your dreams you need the right setting in which to display it at its best and Dartmouth surely has one of the finest in the UK.

why they come ...

With its glorious backdrop of the South Devon countryside, an ancient town whose long and illustrious history is gloriously flaunted in magnificent buildings set among narrow streets, friendly locals and welcoming harbour staff, Dart Harbour is fast becoming a very popular port of call for many of these vessels. Many return, year after year.

If you wish to visit to Dart Harbour, here’s what the area can offer you:

  • Easy access to Plymouth, Exeter and Bristol airports and other local transport links
  • Safety and security because Dart Harbour is International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) compliant
  • Good quality produce with some of the best shellfish areas in the whole of the UK
  • Excellent local ship’s agents such as Pike Ward Ltd and Torbay and Brixham Shipping Agent
  • Bunkering, by prior arrangement
  • Car rental easily available from nearby Totnes or Torbay
  • The Destination South West website contains information on the rest of the region's ports, harbours and suggested excursions.
