Dinghy Pontoon or Toast Racks

These are racks, used for dinghies, which are normally made from tubular steel into which light dinghies may be stored on end on a pontoon.

Please note:

  • Harbour Authority mooring buoys are blue
  • Visitors’ pontoons are marked by blue flags
  • Visitors’ dinghy moorings are marked with a blue flag with a black cross

Please note that Waiting Lists and Transfer Lists are in operation as moorings/berths are not normally immediately available.

‘Down River’ means the area that lies below an imaginary line drawn south west to north east, from the Higher Ferry to Higher Noss Creek. ‘Up River’ means the area above that imaginary line.

‘Down River’ Running moorings are:
Dartmouth (Down River)

  • Dinghy Pontoon low water landing outer
  • Commercial Dinghy Pontoon

Kingswear (Down River)

  • Commercial Dinghy Pontoon
  • Dinghy Rack (only available to Kingswear Pontoon berth holders)
  • Hoodown slip
  • Dinghy Pontoon Afloat

‘Up River’ pontoons or toast racks
Dittisham (Up River)

  • Dinghy Rack
  • Dinghy Pontoon Afloat
  • Dinghy Onboard Pontoon

Stoke Gabriel (Up River)

  • Dinghy Rack
