Shona Duncan joined the Board in January 2019.
As a keen swimmer, sailor and walker, Shona has a longstanding enthusiasm for the River Dart. She has lived in the Dart Valley for the past 25 years during which time the river and the sea have been a focal point in her life.
With a BSc in Politics and a Post Graduate Diploma in Heritage Management, Shona has over 30 years experience in the communications industry and is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. Over her career she has worked for a range of national and international organisations focusing on media relations, issues-based campaigning and reputation management.
Over the last ten years she has specialised in developing communications strategies where community involvement, transparency and good governance are central components. Her voluntary work includes being the Deputy Lifeboat Press Officer for the RNLI in Torbay.
