The museum displays marine and local artefacts including model ships spanning the centuries and a photographic archive ov the area, shipbuilding and shipping on the Dart.

In the panelled museum gallery, King Charles II dined while stormbound in 1671. The Henley Study has interactive exhibits showing a Victorian Dartmothian's life with an interest in science, architecture, art, the natural world, books, music and much else. It is designed to be child friendly.

Open Monday - Saturday 1000 - 1600 (less during Nov - March). A small charge is made.
