Incident Reporting

Incidents

If the incident is on the water and requires an immediate emergency response, please call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.

Dart Harbour keep an incident report log for all incident data reported to us. These include navigational incidents, man overboard incidents, lost or stolen vessels, speeding, near misses, capsizes, collisions, medical incidents, pollution events and taking on water. This list is not exhaustive, if in doubt then please report it.

We may, if appropriate start an incident investigation and if need be involve other agencies or organisations such as the Police, MCA, MAIB. The data gathered also allows us to spot any trends and enables us to try and prevent future incidents.

If you are involved in an incident or witness an incident, please report this to Dart Harbour using incident report form from the link opposite

For any crimes and thefts on the river, please also report this via the Devon and Cornwall Police report form opposite
