Dart Harbour and Navigation Authority has announced today that Capt Geoff Holland has tendered his resignation as CEO/Harbour Master.

Captain Holland joined the Authority in February this year during the extended corona virus lockdown period. Whilst serving as CEO/Harbour Master Captain Holland successfully led the team through the pandemic, overseeing the safe and steady reopening of the river as restrictions eased. This culminated with the successful return of the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta to the river in August which Captain Holland worked closely with the Regatta Committee to facilitate.

The Board would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Captain Holland, and wish him well in his future career.

The Board is currently reviewing the requirements of the role before initiating the recruitment of a new CEO/Harbour Master.  In the immediate term DHNA  Operations will be overseen by Deputy Harbour Master Rob Everitt (interim), who will be supported on the River by Moorings Manager, Matt Stephens, and Deputy Moorings Manager Ben Mahon. Finance Manager Kate Distin and Interim Office Manager Clare Hodge continue to support Rob in leading Office operations.
