LNTM 03-24 Kingswear Lighthouse Unreliable

The main sector light on Kingswear Lighthouse has failed.  We have replaced it temporarily with the old sector light, which has the same characteristics (RWG Iso 3s 9m) however this light is slightly dimmer, especially during daylight hours, and the sectors are less well defined.

The white sector has been checked and does provide a good lead through the shoal patches in the range and between the castles, however the boundaries of the sectors should not be used to fix positions as their accuracy is approx +/- 3 degrees compared to the chart.

The main light will be restored as soon as practical.
