LNTM 04-24 Checkstone Buoy – Light unreliable.

All Mariners are advised: 

Owing to storm damage, the light on Checkstone Buoy, Fl(2)R.5s, is unreliable. Position 50° 20′.450N 003° 33′.810W.

The light has been replaced with a temporary light, the temporary light has:

• A reduced range. (approx 1nm)
• A different light signature, (Red: on for 0.5s, off for 1s)
• A slight blind spot, depending on the buoys orientation.

The main light will be restored as soon as practical, until it is, Mariners should navigate with caution in the approaches.
