Mariners are advised:
Saltmarsh Restoration Project – Temporary Barge near Sharpham South Quay – Thursday 6th March onwards.
Mariners are advised that, as part of the ongoing Saltmarsh Restoration Project, a barge will be anchored in the channel near Sharpham South Quay at approximate position 50° 24′.461N 003° 38′.809W.
The barge will be lit and in position for several days while operations are conducted to transport stone to the shore. This material will be used to reinforce collapsed sections of the wall, aiding in the protection of the sensitive saltmarsh habitats in the area.
All vessels are requested to navigate with caution in the vicinity, to maintain a safe distance and must not moor the barge or hinder any associated operations.
Further information on the project can be found our webpage here.
