LNTM 14-25 – Wild Dart Swim – Shaprham Area.
All mariners are advised:
“Wild Running” have a Wild Dart Swim taking place on Saturday the 7th June 2025.
The swimmers are due to start at 16:00 from Sharpham North Quay, nr Totnes. There are two waves of swimmers, swimming different distances, please see the table below for details.
| 16:00 | 5k Swimmers start | These swimmers will swim UPSTREAM first to a buoy approximately 1km upstream, then turn and head back downstream exiting the water at Ashprington Point. |
| 16:30 | 2.5k Swimmers start | These swimmers will swim DOWNSTREAM from Sharpham North Quay, heading directly for Ashprington Point. |
There will be a a water safety team alongside these swimmers, and Dart Harbour will also have a Patrol craft operating in the area. “Dart Nav” will be contactable on VHF Ch11.
Mariners are requested to pass the swimmers slowly, with plenty of clearance. Mariners should take advice from the water safety team and heed any directions issued by the Patrol Officer.
All swimmers are expected to be off the water by 18:00
