LNTM 29-25 – Hazard to navigation – Totnes Bridge.

All Mariners are advised:

A credible report has been received of a large tree obstructing the navigational channel between the arches of Totnes Bridge, at approximately 50° 25′.828N 003° 40′.882W.

A removal plan is being developed by the team; however, works cannot commence until the fresh water levels recede and slow enough to allow safe access.

Please be aware that the obstruction may move from its current position before recovery can take place. Mariners are therefore advised to exercise extreme caution when navigating in the vicinity of Totnes, maintain a vigilant lookout, and avoid any passage through the affected arches until the obstruction has been cleared.

A further update will be issued once the obstruction has been removed and safe access is granted.
