LNTM 09-26 – Events taking place within the Harbour
All mariners are advised:

- Head of the Dart – Stand Up Paddleboard – Higher ferry – Totnes
Saturday 11th April 2026
Dart Harbour Life Jacket Cinic:
Dart Harbour, in partnership with the Dart RNLI Water safety team and Spares Marine at Noss, are holding a life jacket clinic on the South Embankment on Saturday 11th April. Life jackets can be inspected by trained staff for free, with replacement parts available for purchase if required. Please note, this will be held inside the Harbour Office if the weather is poor.

Dart Gig Club Regatta
Dart Gig Club are hosting their annual regatta in Dartmouth on Saturday the 11th April 2026.
The Gigs will begin launching from the slipway near the higher ferry, from approximately 08:00. Racing is expected to be finished ~16:00.
Racing will begin approx 09:15, the course is pictured below, starting near the waste pontoon, racing downstream towards the Castles, turning, and back upstream to a line near the Royal Dart Yacht Club.
DartNav and the Gig club will be contactable on VHF Ch11. Mariners are requested to navigate with care in the area, take advice from the water safety teams, and directions from the River Team.

Sunday 12th April 2026
The annual Head of the Dart – Stand up paddle board event is taking place on the 12th April 2026
The course starts in Dartmouth at approx 11:00, heading upstream to Totnes. There will be near 300 paddlers afloat. There is a mixture of abilities and as such, vessel wash should be kept to a minimum.
All mariners are to take advice from the water safety team and direction from the River Officers.
