LNTM 15-26 – Waverley visits Dartmouth – Saturday 23rd May

All mariners are advised:

The 73m ocean-going paddle steamer PS Waverley is scheduled to visit Dartmouth on Saturday 23 May, initially arriving around 11:00.

During her visits, Waverley will manoeuvre within the harbour under pilotage, there will be times where she swings above the higher ferry to head back downstream, and will berth at Dartmouth Town Jetty for passenger embarkation and disembarkation.

Please be aware that, during parts of her passage, PS Waverley may travel at speeds exceeding 6 knots and is restricted in her ability to manoeuvre. Her movements may also generate a significant wash. Harbour patrol craft will escort the vessel to provide advance warning of her passage, and a rolling 200m exclusion zone will be maintained ahead of the vessel at all times.

All vessels are required to keep well clear of Waverley and comply with directions issued by Dart Harbour River Officers and the Harbour Pilot.

Paddleboarders and operators of smaller craft are advised to allow additional clearance due to the vessel’s wash.

The timetable below outlines Waverley’s scheduled movements while in Dartmouth. All vessels in the vicinity must follow the directions of the Dart Harbour Pilot and River Officers during these manoeuvres.
