LNTM 27-26 – Underwater Operations – Darthaven Marina – October 2026
All Mariners are advised:
Underwater dredging works are expected to take place within Darthaven Marina from Thursday 1st October. Works are expected to continue for around a month and expected to only take place between 07:00 and 19:00, Monday to Friday.
These works will also involve multiple, large hopper barges transiting between Darthaven Marina, to sea, and back again. These barges are self-propelled, and are around 44.1m LOA, pictured below.
There will be an exclusion zone in place, which is pictured below. Only vessels with permission from Dart Harbour or Darthaven may enter or remain within this exclusion zone – Fig1 below.
Within this exclusion zone, there are 3 exposed piles that are not within pontoons. These are marked as white triangles on Fig1 below and located at:
- 50° 21′.076N 003° 34′.254W
- 50° 20′.994N 003° 34′.307W
- 50° 20′.992N 003° 34′.313W
Vessels must take advice from the Darthaven team & Barge crews, and heed any directions issued by River Officers.
